How To Focus On Today

Good Morning Love, and welcome to episode 9 of  "Inspire My Morning"
I'm so excited that you're here! This morning we will focus on how to stay focused today.

If you don't start your morning with a general idea of what you want to accomplish in your day then anything can happen. Any wind could blow and land you anywhere.

Yet, being focused can help you actually get things done. Unfortunately, focus doesn't just happen. It has to be intentionally developed. If you want to focus on the day in front of you so that you can actually get something accomplished today follow these tips.

Tip # 1 Narrow down your focus: during your morning routine, think about what's most important for you to get done today. If you have to work, that's a given, but what about your personal goals? What can you do about those today? Also, if there is something very important that you need to get done at work, you could write that down.

You only have 24 hours in a day and some of those hours are spent sleeping, so you have to be very strategic in planning out what's important to get done today. When you know from the beginning of your day what you plan to get done, it's easier to stay focused on getting it done.

Tip #2 Stay in the moment: If you're at work keep your mind there. If you're in class be there. If you're spending time with your children, give them your undivided attention. Staying in the moment takes some conscious work because you'll have to gently pull your mind back into focus when it strays.

For instance, you could be in class, but your mind is at work. You have to remind yourself that there is a specific time for you to work and this isn't it.

If you're at your child's basketball game, don't allow your mind to start planning the work project that's coming up because you're at a basketball game right now.

If you're on vacation, don't worry about what's going on at home.

It's called being present in the moment. If your attention is divided your plans will fall. You should not try to pull your focus in too many directions. Stay in the moment.

Tip # 3 Execute your focused energy: Do what you planned to do today. If you don't get your to-do list done today, it will just disturb your focus for tomorrow.

Whether you feel like it or not, execute some form of action towards getting things done.

Execution is the hardest part of success at anything. However, take massive action towards your day because, as I always say, one day leads to one week which leads to one year, so every day matters.

Do the work and execute your focus today.

Why Today Is A Great Day To Be Quiet

Good Morning Love, and welcome to episode 10 of  "Inspire My Morning"    I'm so excited that you're here!  T his morning we will focus on why today is a great day to be quiet.  If your morning catches you by surprise, it's easy to just start talking. You may not realize it, but you may start engaging in self-talk before you know it. It's not long before the phone rings or someone else starts talking to you.  However, there are some amazing benefits to being quiet, especially the first thing in the morning. Try catching yourself before you start talking. Take some quiet time to envision the kind of day that you want to have.  See yourself paying off some bills, getting some projects done, and having a very successful day. See yourself being happy and productive. Then start thinking of ways to speak those things versus anything opposite of what you want.  When you take some time to be quiet first, you can align your sel...
